It looks like a baseball cap, fits like a baseball cap and is as comfortable to wear as a baseball cap, but this cap contains a padded and vented ABS shell that conforms to European Bump Cap standards (EN812)!
A headset easily fits over it, the ear-cups sealing over the edge in the same way they do with a normal baseball cap, in fact some headsets are actually more comfortable as the shell spreads the load more evenly
The shell is extremely light but will protect against the kind of knocks and scrapes that you encounter in and around the aircraft.
It is not designed to replace a full helmet or 'Bonedome' in a high performance aircraft, but offer an intermediate level of protection for the vast majority of Sport Flyers around the world.
