were a kid and got new shoes
and didn't want to take them off
and your mum wouldn't let you
go to bed in them - well, that's

and I'm 40!"

Burned Children's Club

11th August 2009
Aero-ist is supporting the annual Burned Children's Club Flying Day on August 21st by providing every child with one of our Tee Shirts. The Burned Children's club is amagnificient organisation that gives support to young burn victims and their families, see: http://www.burnedchildrensclub.org.uk/ for detail. As part of their summer camp they spend a day at a flying club where an army of volunteer pilots (and ground helpers) take each child flying on a navigation exercise, as well as entertaining them on the ground

Charity Dinner

Jeremy was recently Guest Speaker at the 'Daventry Flying Table' a monthly gathering of pilots that combines a nice social event with a spot of fund raising.

Jeremy extolled the virtues of the Support Helicopter Crewman, gave a few anecdotes from his time in the RAF and also drew some lessons from Military flying that transfer well into GA

After some heckling from an ex-Navy crewman everyone put their hands in their pockets and raised £80 for www.Flt2help.org,  a charity based at Kemble that gives handicapped, terminally ill and under-privileged children, their siblings and their carers aviation experiences they could only normally dream of, as well as offering a number of scholarships each year.
