Flight Safety
Flight Safety is something we take very seriously here at Aero-ist. The recent events in both GA and Commercial flying has shown us that well-rehearsed drills and good airmanship can save many lives.
We have designed our products for use both in the cockpit and on the ground. We have chosen mainly cotton as our raw material, but some garments contain other products, please check the descriptions in the eShop for the materials before making your decision.
If you feel that one of our garments compromises flight safety in any way, please feel free to call or email us to let us know. We will investigate immediately and modify the garment if necessary.
In the future we are planning to introduce a range of more fire-retardant clothing and footwear for the Pilots of higher-performance aircraft. Please check our website or join our mailing list to be kept up to date with developments.
Our first safety product that is under investigation is a baseball cap that can be worn under headphones but has a hard ABS shell built in so that it offers some protection from knocks and bangs. Perfect for Pilots of aircraft that don't warrant a full 'bonedome' but still want an element of protection.
The next product in the pipeline is fire-retardant footwear an area often over-looked, currently the only choices seem to be either military boots or very expensive racing boots, we aim to bring to market a range of reasonably-priced boots and shoes that can be worn casually as well as in the cockpit.
